A key consideration in the formation of the Summit Governing Bodies has been establishing balanced representation, including consideration of geographic distribution, the inclusion of diverse audience segments and close cooperation and integration with the United Nations Environment Programme, the UN and UN Major Groups, which themselves include a broad range of international stakeholders. At the same time, the recruitment of Eye on Earth’s Governing Bodies has emphasised attracting global thought and action leaders who are motivated, willing to contribute substantively, are available, and whose organisational and individual characteristics are aligned with the objectives of the governing body for which they have been nominated.
